This is an example of my industrial design work outside of ceramics.

The Springerle Ball is a new take on German springerle molds. Traditional wooden molds are used by stamping into cookie dough, creating a replica every time. The Springerle Ball aims to bring more autonomy to the baker, where new shapes and icons emerge from using the sphere that goes in any directions. This project made its debut at the NADA fair in New York City under the brand Functional Fiction. A catalogue was produced highlighting inspiration as well as a dialogue with the editor Jasmine Lee. The work can also be viewed at the experimental Functional Fiction website.
